A century of shoemaking in the family.
Telic's story begins with co-founder Rocco Azzarito's grandfather, Francisco Azzarito, a cobbler's son from Sant'Agata di Puglia, Italy, who arrived at Ellis Island in 1920 at sixteen years old and rose to factory foreman at the famed I. Miller Shoe Company in New York.
Nearly a century later, Rocco met co-founder Terry Stillman, an All-American Dartmouth runner turned Nike professional, at a global footwear event. They shared a vision: footwear that recovers the body the way barefoot grass recovers a runner's legs.
