Boise, Idaho, November 10th, 2018 - Telic International LLC has announced that they will be launching their Telic Mallory sandal globally in Spring 2019. This new addition to the recovery footwear product line was in essence developed through the brand's extensive social media channels. The first ever sports recovery shoe designed by women for women.
The Mallory gets its name from Telic’s Social Media Manager, Mallory Leuzinger. After listening to input from Telic's social media consumers for many months, in a moment of inspiration, Mallory grabbed some masking tape and a Telic flip flop sample off of her desk, and went to work. Within minutes she had cut off the top strap of the Flip Flop and replaced it with three interlocking bands made from the masking tape. She later shared her prototype with the rest of the Telic team who immediately understood its potential and initiated the process of taking it to market.
"Through social media I get the privilege to hear a lot from consumers from all around the world." says Mallory Leuzinger, Social Media Manager at Telic. "One theme that came up again and again from women was that they were enthralled by Telic's comfort and technology, but wanted us to develop a style that was more stylish and one that would still perform exceptionally. Based on what I think a lot of these women wanted I designed a sandal and our team insisted they name it after me."
Made from Telic's exclusive Novalon material, the Mallory sandal supports the arches of the feet through its anatomically correct footbed and custom deep heel cup. The design offers an even weight distribution under the foot and reacts to a wearer's body temperature to give their feet a hug as they conform perfectly to their personal shape. The ability of the sandal to adapt and mold to any foot-type is what makes Telic so unique, and delivers a feeling of floating above the ground.
Devoted athletes wear Telic to recover after training & competition; and other healthy lifestyle consumers to rejuvenate from their daily activities. At the same time the brand is also highly recommended by doctors for plantar fasciitis and many other types of foot ailments. Telic's Novalon Technology offers apex cushioning, orthotic-grade arch support, and an energizing propulsion that cradles and guides the foot.
“Our customers are very enthusiastic about the opportunity to launch the Mallory sandal line for the Spring 2019 season,” states Daniel Harrington, Global Sales Director at Telic. “The recovery category is growing very quickly and appears to be the most exciting development in comfort footwear since the rocker sole revolution. The majority of consumers for recovery footwear are women, however across all brands in this category most of the basic silhouettes tend to be clunky and not feminine looking. By simply listening to what our primary consumers want and fulfilling their desires, we believe this landmark product will help take the category to its next echelon."
