“Our primary consumers are devoted athletes and active lifestyle individuals seeking to rejuvenate most effectively after training and competition,” says Aaron Azzarito, VP–marketing at Telic. “However, the benefits these athletes are experiencing when wearing Telic does not stop with them. The lightweight stability and pillow-soft arch support are a much welcomed relief for almost everyone. A large majority of our customers are now just individuals who crave the relief and comfort of our products after work, travel, or any other long day on their feet.”
The Recovery from Telic is an aptly named shoe. It is designed with Telic’s custom orthotic-grade arch support and made with shock-absorbing Novalon material.
Telic co-founder and CEO Terry Stillman was an elite runner who attended Dartmouth College. He ran track and cross country, was Heptagonal/Ivy champion and a leading member of Dartmouth’s All-American cross country team.
“At Dartmouth, after hard workouts and long runs – when it was not too cold – we always used to take our shoes off and jog or walk barefoot on the grass to help recover,” recalls Stillman. “The Telic Recovery is designed to mimic this same amazing feeling of soft shock absorption and propulsion and helps expedite the recovery process after training and competition.”
Adds Telic’s Azzarito, “The combination of support and shock absorption leads to a complete underfoot coverage that evenly distributes the weight of the body; eliminating any pressure points under the foot.”
